With the improved 2pdr values this map is a lot more easier then it was in 2.15 version.

So they changed strength of 2 pounder? Doesn't this worsen the balance too much? I think of the heavy brit tanks in special

Yes, the armour penetration value of the 2pdr is been improved. It was too weak in the previous build and they balanced it now. It will be harder for the germanteam to knock-out a Mathilde but don't forget it was like a Tiger in those early desertbattles.
Multiple rounds of a 64 player battle on the map Aberdeen would prove it is in balance. Although I don't think we will see that map soon in the mapcycle.

What a pity!!!
It's one of my favorite and I had it also in my mind at once, when i read about 2 pounder improvement:
I've really liked to advance on brit side on left flank with heavy tank, sieging the axis outpost with its paks and often easily capture it with some backup. With little teamplay and only few grants at your back for those two panzerIV, axis really struggles with losing control in front of their main.
Now i guess you mostly might not even need the grant support. :0f:

That's the point: At fiirst the Queen of Desert was undestroyable vs tanks made of spaghetti :0f: and the early german ones. But Aberdeen isn't such a early map. Actually they were replaced step by step cause enemy tanks got more and more superior.

I think it might be wise to replace Mersa Matruh in the setlist. It gets lot of complaints and I have to admit it is quite long and boring most of the times.

Re: Vote your africa maps to the mapcycle!
find ich auch. ausgelutschtes ding. ne inf karte ala giarabub oder tunis wäre besser.
Re: Vote your africa maps to the mapcycle!
Da würde ich aber eher auf giarabub setzen. Macht mehr Spass als tunis.
