Alam halfa
On this map I play britsh and I see some times that the german team side kill all 3 6 pounders within 2 min.
Lets say:
The map start and all britsh walking too the line where the pounders are.
before any one can use the 6 pounder on the hill it get destroyed by the first shot arti.
and within 1 min the other 2 pounders are destroyed.
(not sure by the same guy)
I wonder how people do this.
Because if I see this every time I think: How the arti do this and gets a bad feeling about this.
-Great teamwork with the spotter.
The spotter makes no mistake and within 4 or 3 shots 3 6 pounders are down.
-or the arti use no spotter and just he know too shoot.
-other option...

Re: Alam halfa
Dooppie and I have discussed this a couple of times how it is possible to shoot all three 6pdr in suchs a short time frame and with that accuracy.
It only happens when one particulary player is online, like it did yesterday afternoon.
13.42:41 - start map
13.43:31 - first 6pdr two shots
13.43:41 - second 6pdr one shot
13.44.01 - third 6pdr one shot
As you can see in the screenshot nobody beside him has points (teampoints for spotting). Assuming a spotter get points for spotting at-guns. Can someone explain how it is possible to knock them out without spotter help?

Re: Alam halfa
It's called pixel shooting. The player remembers the position of the gun after hitting his target. He basically aims the gun in the exact same position and repeats his actions.

Re: Alam halfa
That's quite simple to explain.
It's called pixelshooting. If he has managed to get an exact fix on the 6pdr before and noted exactly how to position the Arty he can destroy them without any help. It is harder than it used to be in FH0.7, but it is still possible. Cheers.

Re: Alam halfa
So basicly he practised in lanmode to line the gun up to the exact position for all three 6 pdr, rembers and repeats it in multiplayer mode.
Pixelshooting sounds like exployed to me. That "gameplay" ruins the fight for the first line of defence on the Alam halfa map completely, because the 6pdr with mines are the only means of defence.
Edit: he does it on othermaps too but with a key difference, those 6 pdr guns are moveble and the one's on Alam are not.

Re: Alam halfa
Yeah, I thought it was possible.
Not to mention it causes the brainstem of the one who does that to release enzymes that over time lead to extended reduction of primary sex characteristics and to aphallia over long terms.

I'll remember this when he does it again

Thanks for the replies.
aha...Pixel schooting, never heard of that.
Kinda sad that this is possible.
Poor 6 pounders

Went through the list of FH serverrules and points 6 states:
6. Cheaters and exploitusers will be banned.
So whats hslan point of view in this matter (arty pixelshooting)?

Re: Alam halfa
Hm, don´t know i´ve its against this rule. In my opinion it´s also a s***t behaviour, but nothing u can punish, because with every weapon (MG, tanks, planes and so on) u have to learn how to aim, to hit the target. Thats what he did, so nothing to punish for. But its just my opinion, the admins have to decide.
Re: Alam halfa
its not an exploit. the guns are stationary, and if somebody decides to learn where to aim without spotters, it might be lame (others might call it resourcefull), but in no way illegal.

Re: Alam halfa
I don't think you can compare someone who's being good with any particular weapon and someone who's doing arty pixel shooting at fixed locations. The first does not use bug's in the game the latter has an advantage (exploit?) because of a "bug" in the game.
The 6pdr's are useless on alam when somebody uses arty pixelshoot. He fires every 20sec or so a HE-shell on a at-gun start with 7th brigade, middle 6pdr and the one at 4th brigade and the cycle repeats. It effects the gameplay for Alam Halfa drasticly.
For the record, I don't mind if the 6pdr's get shot by arty with spotting or any other weapon in that matter.
