Re: Mapcycle
I think this is why the 762 server is becoming more popular. They have almost all maps in rotation. Here it's always Luttich, Totalize, Lebisey, Luttich, Falaise, Goodwood, Luttich, Bocage. Did I mention Luttich?
Re: Mapcycle
Yeah, I'd say 762 has better mapcycle. Altough I still don't want to play there. Its full of whining iddi and there 3 times more TK than on hslan.

Re: Mapcycle
Afaik the 762 have two servers, one Normandy only (the full one) and one Africa (allthough there is also more Normandy than Africa in it).
Re: Mapcycle
Naughty naughty little Moribund played there yesterday. And ajappat you are right. First ten minutes i ve been wounded on purpose, teamkilled on purpose and
had to listen to whining, complaining, name calling...
The reason i joined? Tunis was on, a refreshing change. And HSLAN was empty of course.
Anyway. Last three times i played on HSLAN late in the evening (23.30) Anctoville came up and player numbers dropped drastically. With the buggy Hanomag and the invincible M3A1 Halftrack the map feels utterly broken. I would love to see Anctoville removed and more africa maps added.

Re: Mapcycle

Re: Mapcycle
Sometimes when server crashes, why don't you change map to what would have come next on list. It's always just totalize, mareth and so on after crash. So many times I have been waiting for some particular map and bang, server crash and back to starting point .

Re: Mapcycle
We set Totalize, Mareth and Villers for purpose as first maps, because that are maps which are atractting players, to get the server full again after a crash.
Re: Mapcycle
No offence but I really believe, that when full server goes down atleast 40-50 people come back and thats more than enough to attract other players to fill up rest slots. For example, today server crashed. After server crash, if you immedietly connect again, it let's you connect but if you refersh, it losts server for minute or so and I accidentally refreshed. So after spamming refresh and finally finding your server again, there were already 36 players. And there's nothing to do with totalize with that. Hell, even with aberdeen it would have been that 36 players there. Player numbers count more than map, atleast with mod like this, with very few players.

Re: Mapcycle
you cant generalize that.
once the server crashed in the later eveninghours.
after it restarted i set the map to tunis...it never filled up this evening again.
yesterday it crashed and i set a new map after a few minutes and
it filled up.
so you just need to be lucky somehow.
i personaly hate totalize...and after a servercrash
i normaly change the map when there are enough people back on the server.
but when most of the people wana play the map...i just keep it and set
another map after the round ends.
anyways....why dont you just ask ingame for a mapchange?
if most of the players dont wanna play totalize again, they will support you.
